## Product Overview

Conditional probabilities of
observing consecutive dry day episodes of length 1 Ð 30 days preceding daily
precipitation events of variable magnitudes (0.01Ó, 0.10Ó, 0.25Ó, 0.50Ó) were
computed for 7 regions across New York.
These regions are the same subregions of stations used to compute weekly
extreme precipitation probabilities, since both deal with the timing of events
throughout the annual cycle. Given
the occurrence of a precipitation event (with user-specified magnitude), the
values on each graph provide the probability that such an event was preceded by
a dry-day sequence of greater than or equal to *n* days (*n*=1-30).
