Memorial Day was hot in many areas.
Many consider Memorial Day the unofficial start of summer, and for a large part of the Northeast it felt like summer! Temperatures sored into the 90’s for some areas, and the hot temperatures combined with humidity to create even hotter heat indices, how hot it really felt. Five of our First Order stations, broke or tied the daily record for maximum temperature, and 20 stations ranked in the top five. The southerly flow of warm air bringing this heat will continue into Tuesday the 29th before we return to normal temperatures.
