Resources for Hazard Mitigation Planning

Climate information supports the development of tribal, state, and local hazard mitigation plans (HMPs), but with resources available across numerous organizations and websites this information can be difficult to find. This page was developed to provide a more consolidated listing of applicable climate information for planners within the Northeast region.

Popular resources that are used across the region are listed below, along with resources that can be used for ongoing monitoring of climate and drought conditions. Select a state from the dropdown above for more detailed state-level information.

The resources on this site were compiled from NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information, the Northeast Regional Climate Center, and State Climate Offices in the Northeast region.
