An early February storm dropped more than a foot of snow on southern parts of the region.
A few days later, another storm dropped even more snow on some of the same areas.
It is rare indeed to have 2 major snowstorms impact the mid-Atlantic region during a winter season, much less within a week of one another. Just like the storm that ended on the 6th, the most recent event disrupted the lives of millions and set new records throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Lists of new snowfall records from the February 5-7th event, the February 9-11th event, the February 24-26th event, as well as monthly and seasonal totals are available.
