Summer Heat 2

heat index graph

The heat index shows how hot it feels based on temperature and humidity.

As June nears its end, a second wave of hot temperatures is about to spread into the Northeast. This will be the second bout of 90 plus temperatures at many stations within the first two weeks of the summer season and during June. It seems like a lot of hot days, but most stations won’t break their records for number of 90-degree days this June. It’s still important to stay safe in these temperatures as they combine with humidity to create even hotter heat indices, how hot it feels. See the daily records for June 29th and 30th.
