November Precipitation

nov pdpt map

Most of the Northeast has seen below-normal precipitation so far this November.

Except for the wind, waves, and rain associated with the remnants of Hurricane Ida that affected coastal zones last week, the Northeast has had a fairly tranquil November. As shown above, precipitation totals are currently 1-3 inches below normal in most of the Northeast. In addition, temperatures have averaged above normal. That may change in the coming weeks as forecasters think the trend will be toward normal temperatures and above normal precipitation.
