The Warmth Continues - November
November was a warm month, with temperatures more than 2°F above normal.
November 2011 was the eleventh consecutive month with above normal temperatures in the Northeast and the 3rd warmest November since 1895. The regional average temperature of 44.0 degrees was 4.3 degrees above normal. Each of the states in the region placed within the top 14 warmest in 117 years. In addition, new daily and monthly temperature records were established at several locations around the region. Three states, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont, also had their warmest autumn (Sep-Nov) on record. It was the 4th warmest autumn in the Northeast since 1895.
