Record-Breaking Spring

Temperature ranks show just how warm the region was this spring.

Temperatures averaged well above normal during the period March through May 2010. Of the 12 states in the Northeast, eight had their warmest spring since 1895. The remaining states averaged within the top ten warmest springs on record and the region as a whole averaged 2nd warmest spring n 116 years. In addition, all but two of the 35 first order stations in the Northeast were within the top ten warmest on record.
