June was an extremely wet month for the region.

July rainfall was hit-or-miss, with very dry areas and very wet areas scattered throughout the region. Departures generally ranged from 25% of normal to 200% of normal. Of the 35 major airport climate sites, 25 were drier than normal. Several sites ranked this July among their top 15 driest or wettest.

July temperatures generally ranged from 3 degrees F below normal to 3 degrees F above normal, with much of the region being within 1 degree F of normal. Temperatures at 33 of the 35 airport climate sites were near to above normal, with 7 sites ranking this July among their top 20 warmest.
