February Comparison

jan1-feb12 tdpt map

So far this year, temperatures have been warmer than normal.

What a difference a year makes! So far, temperatures during the beginning of 2012 have averaged warmer than normal in the Northeast. Just a year ago, most of the region was colder than normal by the 12th of February. While precipitation during the same period averaged on the dry side both years, several cities have seen quite a difference in snowfall totals from last year to this year.
